In ancient times, these drums were traditionally employed to banish malevolent spirits from households during purification rituals, and can of course continue to serve a similar purpose in contemporary cleansing ceremonies. Additionally, it serves as a delightful noise-making instrument for festive occasions like Independence Day or lively drumming circles.
Given their artisanal nature, each handcrafted drum exhibits minor variations in handle design. Measuring approximately 8 inches in length, this compact hand drum hheads have a diameter of 2 3/4 inches.
